What we store

While you edit, your guest list and event settings stay in this browser. Creating or saving badges sends names, optional job titles and companies to our server so each person’s link can work on another device. We host this data on Cloudflare. Event data is available for 90 days from creation, then removed by a daily cleanup. You can remove guest data sooner with Delete event.

Your browser also stores a private host key. Anyone with that key can read, change or delete the event. Keep your host link private. Guest links are unlisted bearer links: anyone who receives a guest link can view that one badge. They are not identity verification or access passes. We use no advertising trackers, third-party fonts or guest email collection.

We keep a short-lived hashed network identifier for event-creation rate limits. Cloudflare may process network and request information to run and secure the service. Host keys are hashed on the server and never included in guest responses. Share only the guest links, not your private host link.

One-event pricing

Three active guest badges per event are free. A $9 USD one-time event unlock enables up to 500 badges for the same 90-day event period. Any tax is shown at checkout. There is no subscription. The host can edit guest names and event appearance. Links removed from an event stop working; deleted events cannot be restored.

Payments are available only when checkout is enabled. If the interface says payments are not open, no charge or event unlock is available. A test checkout is clearly labeled and does not represent a live purchase.

When enabled, Creem processes payment and sends its payment receipt. We send Creem a product ID and an anonymous event identifier, not your guest list. Creem receives the billing information you provide at checkout. We retain payment references to reconcile purchases and refunds.

Refunds & billing help

For a refund or a payment problem, email hello@kitmaple.com within 14 days of purchase with the event ID and the payment receipt. Do not send your private host key. Refunds are reviewed and processed by the merchant; this page does not promise automatic refunds. Applicable consumer rights still apply. A confirmed refund or dispute revokes the paid event unlock, leaving only the first three badges active. Deleting an event does not request a refund.

Using a badge at your event

Only upload guest information you have permission to use and share. Do not include sensitive information. Guests need an internet connection to initially open their badge. Keep the tab open after loading; offline reload is not supported. Full screen and keeping the display awake depend on the device and browser. In browsers without full-screen support, the badge fills the available browser area. Adjust your device’s brightness and Auto-Lock settings if needed. We cannot remotely control screen brightness or prevent device locking.

HelloBadge provides a readable name display for introductions. It does not include attendance tracking, identity checks, contact exchange, or a phone lanyard. Save your private host link: without an account or that key, you may be unable to recover your event.
